CVE-2013-2255 | 3 Debian, Openstack, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Compute, Keystone and 1 more | 2019-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
HTTPSConnections in OpenStack Keystone 2013, OpenStack Compute 2013.1, and possibly other OpenStack components, fail to validate server-side SSL certificates.
CVE-2018-14636 | 1 Openstack | 1 Neutron | 2019-10-09 | 3.5 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
Live-migrated instances are briefly able to inspect traffic for other instances on the same hypervisor. This brief window could be extended indefinitely if the instance's port is set administratively down prior to live-migration and kept down after the migration is complete. This is possible due to the Open vSwitch integration bridge being connected to the instance during migration. When connected to the integration bridge, all traffic for instances using the same Open vSwitch instance would potentially be visible to the migrated guest, as the required Open vSwitch VLAN filters are only applied post-migration. Versions of openstack-neutron before 13.0.0.0b2, 12.0.3, 11.0.5 are vulnerable.
CVE-2017-2592 | 2 Canonical, Openstack | 2 Ubuntu Linux, Oslo.middleware | 2019-10-09 | 2.1 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
python-oslo-middleware before versions 3.8.1, 3.19.1, 3.23.1 is vulnerable to an information disclosure. Software using the CatchError class could include sensitive values in a traceback's error message. System users could exploit this flaw to obtain sensitive information from OpenStack component error logs (for example, keystone tokens).
CVE-2017-17051 | 1 Openstack | 1 Nova | 2019-10-03 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 8.6 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in the default FilterScheduler in OpenStack Nova 16.0.3. By repeatedly rebuilding an instance with new images, an authenticated user may consume untracked resources on a hypervisor host leading to a denial of service, aka doubled resource allocations. This regression was introduced with the fix for OSSA-2017-005 (CVE-2017-16239); however, only Nova stable/pike or later deployments with that fix applied and relying on the default FilterScheduler are affected.
CVE-2017-12440 | 1 Openstack | 1 Openstack | 2019-10-03 | 6.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
Aodh as packaged in Openstack Ocata and Newton before change-ID I8fd11a7f9fe3c0ea5f9843a89686ac06713b7851 and before Pike-rc1 does not verify that trust IDs belong to the user when creating alarm action with the scheme trust+http, which allows remote authenticated users with knowledge of trust IDs where Aodh is the trustee to obtain a Keystone token and perform unspecified authenticated actions by adding an alarm action with the scheme trust+http, and providing a trust id where Aodh is the trustee.
CVE-2017-5936 | 2 Canonical, Openstack | 2 Ubuntu Linux, Nova-lxd | 2019-10-03 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
OpenStack Nova-LXD before 13.1.1 uses the wrong name for the veth pairs when applying Neutron security group rules for instances, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended security restrictions.
CVE-2017-16239 | 1 Openstack | 1 Nova | 2019-10-03 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
In OpenStack Nova through 14.0.9, 15.x through 15.0.7, and 16.x through 16.0.2, by rebuilding an instance, an authenticated user may be able to circumvent the Filter Scheduler bypassing imposed filters (for example, the ImagePropertiesFilter or the IsolatedHostsFilter). All setups using Nova Filter Scheduler are affected. Because of the regression described in Launchpad Bug #1732947, the preferred fix is a 14.x version after 14.0.10, a 15.x version after 15.0.8, or a 16.x version after 16.0.3.
CVE-2017-18191 | 2 Openstack, Redhat | 2 Nova, Openstack | 2019-10-03 | 7.8 HIGH | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Nova 15.x through 15.1.0 and 16.x through 16.1.1. By detaching and reattaching an encrypted volume, an attacker may access the underlying raw volume and corrupt the LUKS header, resulting in a denial of service attack on the compute host. (The same code error also results in data loss, but that is not a vulnerability because the user loses their own data.) All Nova setups supporting encrypted volumes are affected.
CVE-2013-2157 | 1 Openstack | 1 Keystone | 2019-08-08 | 4.3 MEDIUM | N/A |
OpenStack Keystone Folsom, Grizzly before 2013.1.3, and Havana, when using LDAP with Anonymous binding, allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via an empty password.
CVE-2016-7404 | 1 Openstack | 1 Magnum | 2019-06-26 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
OpenStack Magnum passes OpenStack credentials into the Heat templates creating its instances. While these should just be used for retrieving the instances' SSL certificates, they allow full API access, though and can be used to perform any API operation the user is authorized to perform.
CVE-2014-8333 | 2 Openstack, Redhat | 3 Nova, Enterprise Linux, Openstack | 2019-04-22 | 4.0 MEDIUM | N/A |
The VMware driver in OpenStack Compute (Nova) before 2014.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (disk consumption) by deleting an instance in the resize state.
CVE-2015-1195 | 1 Openstack | 1 Image Registry And Delivery Service \(glance\) | 2019-02-04 | 6.5 MEDIUM | N/A |
The V2 API in OpenStack Image Registry and Delivery Service (Glance) before 2014.1.4 and 2014.2.x before 2014.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to read or delete arbitrary files via a full pathname in a filesystem: URL in the image location property. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2014-9493.
CVE-2014-9493 | 2 Openstack, Redhat | 2 Image Registry And Delivery Service \(glance\), Openstack | 2019-02-01 | 5.5 MEDIUM | N/A |
The V2 API in OpenStack Image Registry and Delivery Service (Glance) before 2014.2.2 and 2014.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to read or delete arbitrary files via a full pathname in a file: URL in the image location property.
CVE-2014-7230 | 3 Canonical, Openstack, Redhat | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Cinder, Nova and 2 more | 2018-11-16 | 2.1 LOW | N/A |
The processutils.execute function in OpenStack oslo-incubator, Cinder, Nova, and Trove before 2013.2.4 and 2014.1 before 2014.1.3 allows local users to obtain passwords from commands that cause a ProcessExecutionError by reading the log.
CVE-2014-7231 | 2 Openstack, Redhat | 4 Cinder, Nova, Trove and 1 more | 2018-11-16 | 2.1 LOW | N/A |
The strutils.mask_password function in the OpenStack Oslo utility library, Cinder, Nova, and Trove before 2013.2.4 and 2014.1 before 2014.1.3 does not properly mask passwords when logging commands, which allows local users to obtain passwords by reading the log.
CVE-2015-8749 | 1 Openstack | 1 Nova | 2018-11-16 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
The volume_utils._parse_volume_info function in OpenStack Compute (Nova) before 2015.1.3 (kilo) and 12.0.x before 12.0.1 (liberty) includes the connection_info dictionary in the StorageError message when using the Xen backend, which might allow attackers to obtain sensitive password information by reading log files or other unspecified vectors.
CVE-2015-7548 | 1 Openstack | 1 Nova | 2018-11-16 | 2.1 LOW | 3.5 LOW |
OpenStack Compute (Nova) before 2015.1.3 (kilo) and 12.0.x before 12.0.1 (liberty), when using libvirt to spawn instances and use_cow_images is set to false, allow remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files by overwriting an instance disk with a crafted image and requesting a snapshot.
CVE-2014-8750 | 1 Openstack | 1 Nova | 2018-11-16 | 6.5 MEDIUM | N/A |
Race condition in the VMware driver in OpenStack Compute (Nova) before 2014.1.4 and 2014.2 before 2014.2rc1 allows remote authenticated users to access unintended consoles by spawning an instance that triggers the same VNC port to be allocated to two different instances.
CVE-2013-7048 | 1 Openstack | 1 Nova | 2018-11-16 | 3.3 LOW | N/A |
OpenStack Compute (Nova) Grizzly 2013.1.4, Havana 2013.2.1, and earlier uses world-writable and world-readable permissions for the temporary directory used to store live snapshots, which allows local users to read and modify live snapshots.
CVE-2013-6437 | 1 Openstack | 1 Nova | 2018-11-16 | 4.0 MEDIUM | N/A |
The libvirt driver in OpenStack Compute (Nova) before 2013.2.2 and icehouse before icehouse-2 allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (disk consumption) by creating and deleting instances with unique os_type settings, which triggers the creation of a new ephemeral disk backing file. |
