CVE-2024-41134 2024-07-25 N/A 7.2 HIGH
A vulnerability exists in the HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN gateway's Command Line Interface that allows remote authenticated users to run arbitrary commands on the underlying host. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will result in the ability to execute arbitrary commands as root on the underlying operating system leading to complete system compromise
CVE-2024-35260 2024-07-25 N/A 8.0 HIGH
An authenticated attacker can exploit an Untrusted Search Path vulnerability in Microsoft Dataverse to execute code over a network.
CVE-2024-6409 2024-07-24 N/A 7.0 HIGH
A race condition vulnerability was discovered in how signals are handled by OpenSSH's server (sshd). If a remote attacker does not authenticate within a set time period, then sshd's SIGALRM handler is called asynchronously. However, this signal handler calls various functions that are not async-signal-safe, for example, syslog(). As a consequence of a successful attack, in the worst case scenario, an attacker may be able to perform a remote code execution (RCE) as an unprivileged user running the sshd server.
CVE-2024-6197 2024-07-24 N/A N/A
libcurl's ASN1 parser has this utf8asn1str() function used for parsing an ASN.1 UTF-8 string. Itcan detect an invalid field and return error. Unfortunately, when doing so it also invokes `free()` on a 4 byte localstack buffer. Most modern malloc implementations detect this error and immediately abort. Some however accept the input pointer and add that memory to its list of available chunks. This leads to the overwriting of nearby stack memory. The content of the overwrite is decided by the `free()` implementation; likely to be memory pointers and a set of flags. The most likely outcome of exploting this flaw is a crash, although it cannot be ruled out that more serious results can be had in special circumstances.
CVE-2024-3727 2024-07-24 N/A 8.3 HIGH
A flaw was found in the github.com/containers/image library. This flaw allows attackers to trigger unexpected authenticated registry accesses on behalf of a victim user, causing resource exhaustion, local path traversal, and other attacks.
CVE-2020-7240 1 Meinbergglobal 4 Lantime M1000, Lantime M1000 Firmware, Lantime M300 and 1 more 2024-07-24 9.0 HIGH 8.8 HIGH
Meinberg Lantime M300 and M1000 devices allow attackers (with privileges to configure a device) to execute arbitrary OS commands by editing the /config/netconf.cmd script (aka Extended Network Configuration). Note: According to the description, the vulnerability requires a fully authenticated super-user account using a webUI function that allows super users to edit a script supposed to execute OS commands. The given weakness enumeration (CWE-78) is not applicable in this case as it refers to abusing functions/input fields not supposed to be accepting OS commands by using 'Special Elements.
CVE-2024-1175 1 Plechevandrey 1 Wp-recall 2024-07-24 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
The WP-Recall – Registration, Profile, Commerce & More plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized loss of data due to a missing capability check on the 'delete_payment' function in all versions up to, and including, 16.26.6. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary payments.

Basic debug printks right before the mentioned line say: [ 0.048170] CPU: 1, smt_mask: So smt_mask, which is sibling mask obviously, is empty when entering the function. This is critical, as sched_core_cpu_starting() calculates core-scheduling parameters only once per CPU start, and it's crucial to have all the parameters filled in at that moment (at least it uses cpu_smt_mask() which in fact is `&cpu_sibling_map[cpu]` on MIPS). A bit of debugging led me to that set_cpu_sibling_map() performing the actual map calculation, was being invocated after notify_cpu_start(), and exactly the latter function starts CPU HP callback round (sched_core_cpu_starting() is basically a CPU HP callback). While the flow is same on ARM64 (maps after the notifier, although before calling set_cpu_online()), x86 started calculating sibling maps earlier than starting the CPU HP callbacks in Linux 4.14 (see [0] for the reference). Neither me nor my brief tests couldn't find any potential caveats in calculating the maps right after performing delay calibration, but the WARN splat is now gone. The very same debug prints now yield exactly what I expected from them: [ 0.048433] CPU: 1, smt_mask: 0-1 [0] https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mips/linux.git/commit/?id=76ce7cfe35ef
CVE-2024-39494 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2024-07-24 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: Fix use-after-free on a dentry's dname.name ->d_name.name can change on rename and the earlier value can be freed; there are conditions sufficient to stabilize it (->d_lock on dentry, ->d_lock on its parent, ->i_rwsem exclusive on the parent's inode, rename_lock), but none of those are met at any of the sites. Take a stable snapshot of the name instead.
