CVE-2022-45939 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Emacs 2023-11-07 N/A 7.8 HIGH
GNU Emacs through 28.2 allows attackers to execute commands via shell metacharacters in the name of a source-code file, because lib-src/etags.c uses the system C library function in its implementation of the ctags program. For example, a victim may use the "ctags *" command (suggested in the ctags documentation) in a situation where the current working directory has contents that depend on untrusted input.
CVE-2022-45934 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 10 more 2023-11-07 N/A 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 6.0.10. l2cap_config_req in net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c has an integer wraparound via L2CAP_CONF_REQ packets.
CVE-2022-45873 2 Fedoraproject, Systemd Project 2 Fedora, Systemd 2023-11-07 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
systemd 250 and 251 allows local users to achieve a systemd-coredump deadlock by triggering a crash that has a long backtrace. This occurs in parse_elf_object in shared/elf-util.c. The exploitation methodology is to crash a binary calling the same function recursively, and put it in a deeply nested directory to make its backtrace large enough to cause the deadlock. This must be done 16 times when MaxConnections=16 is set for the systemd/units/systemd-coredump.socket file.
CVE-2022-45866 2 Fedoraproject, Qpress Project 2 Fedora, Qpress 2023-11-07 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
qpress before PierreLvx/qpress 20220819 and before version 11.3, as used in Percona XtraBackup and other products, allows directory traversal via ../ in a .qp file.
CVE-2022-45152 2 Fedoraproject, Moodle 3 Extra Packages For Enterprise Linux, Fedora, Moodle 2023-11-07 N/A 9.1 CRITICAL
A blind Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in Moodle. This flaw exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in LTI provider library. The library does not utilise Moodle's inbuilt cURL helper, which resulted in a blind SSRF risk. An attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.
CVE-2022-45151 2 Fedoraproject, Moodle 2 Fedora, Moodle 2023-11-07 N/A 5.4 MEDIUM
The stored-XSS vulnerability was discovered in Moodle which exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in several "social" user profile fields. An attacker could inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
CVE-2022-45150 2 Fedoraproject, Moodle 2 Fedora, Moodle 2023-11-07 N/A 6.1 MEDIUM
A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability was discovered in Moodle. This flaw exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in policy tool. An attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted link that executes an arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website. This vulnerability may allow an attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks to gain access potentially sensitive information and modification of web pages.
CVE-2022-45149 2 Fedoraproject, Moodle 2 Fedora, Moodle 2023-11-07 N/A 5.4 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in Moodle which exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin in course redirect URL. A user's CSRF token was unnecessarily included in the URL when being redirected to a course they have just restored. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website. This flaw allows an attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
CVE-2022-45062 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Xfce 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Xfce4-settings 2023-11-07 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
In Xfce xfce4-settings before 4.16.4 and 4.17.x before 4.17.1, there is an argument injection vulnerability in xfce4-mime-helper.
CVE-2022-45061 3 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Python 10 Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager, Bootstrap Os and 7 more 2023-11-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in Python before 3.11.1. An unnecessary quadratic algorithm exists in one path when processing some inputs to the IDNA (RFC 3490) decoder, such that a crafted, unreasonably long name being presented to the decoder could lead to a CPU denial of service. Hostnames are often supplied by remote servers that could be controlled by a malicious actor; in such a scenario, they could trigger excessive CPU consumption on the client attempting to make use of an attacker-supplied supposed hostname. For example, the attack payload could be placed in the Location header of an HTTP response with status code 302. A fix is planned in 3.11.1, 3.10.9, 3.9.16, 3.8.16, and 3.7.16.
CVE-2022-45060 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Varnish-software and 1 more 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Varnish Cache and 2 more 2023-11-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
An HTTP Request Forgery issue was discovered in Varnish Cache 5.x and 6.x before 6.0.11, 7.x before 7.1.2, and 7.2.x before 7.2.1. An attacker may introduce characters through HTTP/2 pseudo-headers that are invalid in the context of an HTTP/1 request line, causing the Varnish server to produce invalid HTTP/1 requests to the backend. This could, in turn, be used to exploit vulnerabilities in a server behind the Varnish server. Note: the 6.0.x LTS series (before 6.0.11) is affected.
CVE-2022-45059 2 Fedoraproject, Varnish Cache Project 2 Fedora, Varnish Cache 2023-11-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in Varnish Cache 7.x before 7.1.2 and 7.2.x before 7.2.1. A request smuggling attack can be performed on Varnish Cache servers by requesting that certain headers are made hop-by-hop, preventing the Varnish Cache servers from forwarding critical headers to the backend.
CVE-2022-44789 3 Artifex, Debian, Fedoraproject 3 Mujs, Debian Linux, Fedora 2023-11-07 N/A 8.8 HIGH
A logical issue in O_getOwnPropertyDescriptor() in Artifex MuJS 1.0.0 through 1.3.x before 1.3.2 allows an attacker to achieve Remote Code Execution through memory corruption, via the loading of a crafted JavaScript file.
CVE-2022-44638 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Pixman 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Pixman 2023-11-07 N/A 8.8 HIGH
In libpixman in Pixman before 0.42.2, there is an out-of-bounds write (aka heap-based buffer overflow) in rasterize_edges_8 due to an integer overflow in pixman_sample_floor_y.
CVE-2022-44020 2 Fedoraproject, Opendev 3 Fedora, Sushy-tools, Virtualbmc 2023-11-07 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Sushy-Tools through 0.21.0 and VirtualBMC through 2.2.2. Changing the boot device configuration with these packages removes password protection from the managed libvirt XML domain. NOTE: this only affects an "unsupported, production-like configuration."
CVE-2022-42919 2 Fedoraproject, Python 2 Fedora, Python 2023-11-07 N/A 7.8 HIGH
Python 3.9.x before 3.9.16 and 3.10.x before 3.10.9 on Linux allows local privilege escalation in a non-default configuration. The Python multiprocessing library, when used with the forkserver start method on Linux, allows pickles to be deserialized from any user in the same machine local network namespace, which in many system configurations means any user on the same machine. Pickles can execute arbitrary code. Thus, this allows for local user privilege escalation to the user that any forkserver process is running as. Setting multiprocessing.util.abstract_sockets_supported to False is a workaround. The forkserver start method for multiprocessing is not the default start method. This issue is Linux specific because only Linux supports abstract namespace sockets. CPython before 3.9 does not make use of Linux abstract namespace sockets by default. Support for users manually specifying an abstract namespace socket was added as a bugfix in 3.7.8 and 3.8.3, but users would need to make specific uncommon API calls in order to do that in CPython before 3.9.
