| Quick Emulator (aka QEMU), when built with the Cirrus CLGD 54xx VGA Emulator support, allows local guest OS privileged users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds access and QEMU process crash) by leveraging incorrect region calculation when updating VGA display. | |||||
| CVE-2014-0150 | 2 Qemu, Redhat | 2 Qemu, Enterprise Linux | 2020-11-02 | 4.9 MEDIUM | N/A |
| Integer overflow in the virtio_net_handle_mac function in hw/net/virtio-net.c in QEMU 2.0 and earlier allows local guest users to execute arbitrary code via a MAC addresses table update request, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow. | |||||
| CVE-2020-14299 | 1 Redhat | 3 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Openshift Application Runtimes, Single Sign-on | 2020-10-27 | 6.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was found in JBoss EAP, where the authentication configuration is set-up using a legacy SecurityRealm, to delegate to a legacy PicketBox SecurityDomain, and then reloaded to admin-only mode. This flaw allows an attacker to perform a complete authentication bypass by using an arbitrary user and password. The highest threat to vulnerability is to system availability. | |||||
| CVE-2020-10721 | 1 Redhat | 1 Fabric8-maven | 2020-10-27 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
| A flaw was found in the fabric8-maven-plugin 4.0.0 and later. When using a wildfly-swarm or thorntail custom configuration, a malicious YAML configuration file on the local machine executing the maven plug-in could allow for deserialization of untrusted data resulting in arbitrary code execution. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability. | |||||

| LibVNC before commit 502821828ed00b4a2c4bef90683d0fd88ce495de contains heap out-of-bound write vulnerability in server code of file transfer extension that can result remote code execution | |||||
| CVE-2014-6055 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libvncserver and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libvncserver and 2 more | 2020-10-23 | 6.5 MEDIUM | N/A |
| Multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the File Transfer feature in rfbserver.c in LibVNCServer 0.9.9 and earlier allow remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a (1) long file or (2) directory name or the (3) FileTime attribute in a rfbFileTransferOffer message. | |||||

| CVE-2019-19339 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus | 2020-10-19 | 4.9 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| It was found that the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 kpatch update did not include the complete fix for CVE-2018-12207. A flaw was found in the way Intel CPUs handle inconsistency between, virtual to physical memory address translations in CPU's local cache and system software's Paging structure entries. A privileged guest user may use this flaw to induce a hardware Machine Check Error on the host processor, resulting in a severe DoS scenario by halting the processor. System software like OS OR Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) use virtual memory system for storing program instructions and data in memory. Virtual Memory system uses Paging structures like Page Tables and Page Directories to manage system memory. The processor's Memory Management Unit (MMU) uses Paging structure entries to translate program's virtual memory addresses to physical memory addresses. The processor stores these address translations into its local cache buffer called - Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB). TLB has two parts, one for instructions and other for data addresses. System software can modify its Paging structure entries to change address mappings OR certain attributes like page size etc. Upon such Paging structure alterations in memory, system software must invalidate the corresponding address translations in the processor's TLB cache. But before this TLB invalidation takes place, a privileged guest user may trigger an instruction fetch operation, which could use an already cached, but now invalid, virtual to physical address translation from Instruction TLB (ITLB). Thus accessing an invalid physical memory address and resulting in halting the processor due to the Machine Check Error (MCE) on Page Size Change. | |||||
| CVE-2019-3879 | 2 Ovirt, Redhat | 2 Ovirt, Virtualization | 2020-10-19 | 5.5 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
| It was discovered that in the ovirt's REST API before version 4.3.2.1, RemoveDiskCommand is triggered as an internal command, meaning the permission validation that should be performed against the calling user is skipped. A user with low privileges (eg Basic Operations) could exploit this flaw to delete disks attached to guests. | |||||
| CVE-2019-3831 | 2 Ovirt, Redhat | 2 Vdsm, Gluster Storage | 2020-10-19 | 9.0 HIGH | 6.7 MEDIUM |
| A vulnerability was discovered in vdsm, version 4.19 through 4.30.3 and 4.30.5 through 4.30.8. The systemd_run function exposed to the vdsm system user could be abused to execute arbitrary commands as root. | |||||
| CVE-2020-7013 | 2 Elastic, Redhat | 2 Kibana, Openshift Container Platform | 2020-10-19 | 6.5 MEDIUM | 7.2 HIGH |
| Kibana versions before 6.8.9 and 7.7.0 contain a prototype pollution flaw in TSVB. An authenticated attacker with privileges to create TSVB visualizations could insert data that would cause Kibana to execute arbitrary code. This could possibly lead to an attacker executing code with the permissions of the Kibana process on the host system. | |||||
| CVE-2019-3805 | 1 Redhat | 2 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Wildfly | 2020-10-16 | 4.7 MEDIUM | 4.7 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was discovered in wildfly versions up to 16.0.0.Final that would allow local users who are able to execute init.d script to terminate arbitrary processes on the system. An attacker could exploit this by modifying the PID file in /var/run/jboss-eap/ allowing the init.d script to terminate any process as root. | |||||
