| The xsltAddTextString function in transform.c in libxslt 1.1.29, as used in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 57.0.2987.98 for Mac, Windows, and Linux and 57.0.2987.108 for Android, lacked a check for integer overflow during a size calculation, which allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page. | |||||
| CVE-2017-3167 | 6 Apache, Apple, Debian and 3 more | 15 Http Server, Mac Os X, Debian Linux and 12 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| In Apache httpd 2.2.x before 2.2.33 and 2.4.x before 2.4.26, use of the ap_get_basic_auth_pw() by third-party modules outside of the authentication phase may lead to authentication requirements being bypassed. | |||||
| CVE-2017-2620 | 5 Citrix, Debian, Qemu and 2 more | 10 Xenserver, Debian Linux, Qemu and 7 more | 2023-11-07 | 9.0 HIGH | 9.9 CRITICAL |
| Quick emulator (QEMU) before 2.8 built with the Cirrus CLGD 54xx VGA Emulator support is vulnerable to an out-of-bounds access issue. The issue could occur while copying VGA data in cirrus_bitblt_cputovideo. A privileged user inside guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process OR potentially execute arbitrary code on host with privileges of the QEMU process. | |||||
| CVE-2017-18926 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Librdf | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Raptor Rdf Syntax Library | 2023-11-07 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 7.1 HIGH |
| raptor_xml_writer_start_element_common in raptor_xml_writer.c in Raptor RDF Syntax Library 2.0.15 miscalculates the maximum nspace declarations for the XML writer, leading to heap-based buffer overflows (sometimes seen in raptor_qname_format_as_xml). | |||||
| CVE-2017-18509 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Linux | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2023-11-07 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in net/ipv6/ip6mr.c in the Linux kernel before 4.11. By setting a specific socket option, an attacker can control a pointer in kernel land and cause an inet_csk_listen_stop general protection fault, or potentially execute arbitrary code under certain circumstances. The issue can be triggered as root (e.g., inside a default LXC container or with the CAP_NET_ADMIN capability) or after namespace unsharing. This occurs because sk_type and protocol are not checked in the appropriate part of the ip6_mroute_* functions. NOTE: this affects Linux distributions that use 4.9.x longterm kernels before 4.9.187. | |||||
| CVE-2017-18219 | 2 Debian, Graphicsmagick | 2 Debian Linux, Graphicsmagick | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| An issue was discovered in GraphicsMagick 1.3.26. An allocation failure vulnerability was found in the function ReadOnePNGImage in coders/png.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted file that triggers an attempt at a large png_pixels array allocation. | |||||
| CVE-2017-18189 | 2 Debian, Sound Exchange Project | 2 Debian Linux, Sound Exchange | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| In the startread function in xa.c in Sound eXchange (SoX) through 14.4.2, a corrupt header specifying zero channels triggers an infinite loop with a resultant NULL pointer dereference, which may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial-of-service. | |||||
| CVE-2017-18078 | 3 Debian, Opensuse, Systemd Project | 3 Debian Linux, Leap, Systemd | 2023-11-07 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
| systemd-tmpfiles in systemd before 237 attempts to support ownership/permission changes on hardlinked files even if the fs.protected_hardlinks sysctl is turned off, which allows local users to bypass intended access restrictions via vectors involving a hard link to a file for which the user lacks write access, as demonstrated by changing the ownership of the /etc/passwd file. | |||||
| CVE-2017-18043 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Qemu | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Qemu | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| Integer overflow in the macro ROUND_UP (n, d) in Quick Emulator (Qemu) allows a user to cause a denial of service (Qemu process crash). | |||||
| CVE-2017-18030 | 2 Debian, Qemu | 2 Debian Linux, Qemu | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 4.4 MEDIUM |
| The cirrus_invalidate_region function in hw/display/cirrus_vga.c in Qemu allows local OS guest privileged users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds array access and QEMU process crash) via vectors related to negative pitch. | |||||
| CVE-2017-17997 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| In Wireshark before 2.2.12, the MRDISC dissector misuses a NULL pointer and crashes. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-mrdisc.c by validating an IPv4 address. This vulnerability is similar to CVE-2017-9343. | |||||
| CVE-2017-17935 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| The File_read_line function in epan/wslua/wslua_file.c in Wireshark through 2.2.11 does not properly strip '\n' characters, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (buffer underflow and application crash) via a crafted packet that triggers the attempted processing of an empty line. | |||||
