| CVE-2020-8623 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 4 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| In BIND 9.10.0 -> 9.11.21, 9.12.0 -> 9.16.5, 9.17.0 -> 9.17.3, also affects 9.10.5-S1 -> 9.11.21-S1 of the BIND 9 Supported Preview Edition, An attacker that can reach a vulnerable system with a specially crafted query packet can trigger a crash. To be vulnerable, the system must: * be running BIND that was built with "--enable-native-pkcs11" * be signing one or more zones with an RSA key * be able to receive queries from a possible attacker | |||||
| CVE-2020-8622 | 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 5 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| In BIND 9.0.0 -> 9.11.21, 9.12.0 -> 9.16.5, 9.17.0 -> 9.17.3, also affects 9.9.3-S1 -> 9.11.21-S1 of the BIND 9 Supported Preview Edition, An attacker on the network path for a TSIG-signed request, or operating the server receiving the TSIG-signed request, could send a truncated response to that request, triggering an assertion failure, causing the server to exit. Alternately, an off-path attacker would have to correctly guess when a TSIG-signed request was sent, along with other characteristics of the packet and message, and spoof a truncated response to trigger an assertion failure, causing the server to exit. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8619 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 4.9 MEDIUM |
| In ISC BIND9 versions BIND 9.11.14 -> 9.11.19, BIND 9.14.9 -> 9.14.12, BIND 9.16.0 -> 9.16.3, BIND Supported Preview Edition 9.11.14-S1 -> 9.11.19-S1: Unless a nameserver is providing authoritative service for one or more zones and at least one zone contains an empty non-terminal entry containing an asterisk ("*") character, this defect cannot be encountered. A would-be attacker who is allowed to change zone content could theoretically introduce such a record in order to exploit this condition to cause denial of service, though we consider the use of this vector unlikely because any such attack would require a significant privilege level and be easily traceable. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8617 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
| Using a specially-crafted message, an attacker may potentially cause a BIND server to reach an inconsistent state if the attacker knows (or successfully guesses) the name of a TSIG key used by the server. Since BIND, by default, configures a local session key even on servers whose configuration does not otherwise make use of it, almost all current BIND servers are vulnerable. In releases of BIND dating from March 2018 and after, an assertion check in tsig.c detects this inconsistent state and deliberately exits. Prior to the introduction of the check the server would continue operating in an inconsistent state, with potentially harmful results. | |||||

| CVE-2020-8492 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.1 HIGH | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| Python 2.7 through 2.7.17, 3.5 through 3.5.9, 3.6 through 3.6.10, 3.7 through 3.7.6, and 3.8 through 3.8.1 allows an HTTP server to conduct Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attacks against a client because of urllib.request.AbstractBasicAuthHandler catastrophic backtracking. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8450 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 7.3 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect buffer management, a remote client can cause a buffer overflow in a Squid instance acting as a reverse proxy. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8449 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect input validation, it can interpret crafted HTTP requests in unexpected ways to access server resources prohibited by earlier security filters. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8296 | 2 Fedoraproject, Nextcloud | 2 Fedora, Nextcloud Server | 2023-11-07 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 6.7 MEDIUM |
| Nextcloud Server prior to 20.0.0 stores passwords in a recoverable format even when external storage is not configured. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8287 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Nodejs and 2 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Node.js and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| Node.js versions before 10.23.1, 12.20.1, 14.15.4, 15.5.1 allow two copies of a header field in an HTTP request (for example, two Transfer-Encoding header fields). In this case, Node.js identifies the first header field and ignores the second. This can lead to HTTP Request Smuggling. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8277 | 4 C-ares Project, Fedoraproject, Nodejs and 1 more | 8 C-ares, Fedora, Node.js and 5 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| A Node.js application that allows an attacker to trigger a DNS request for a host of their choice could trigger a Denial of Service in versions < 15.2.1, < 14.15.1, and < 12.19.1 by getting the application to resolve a DNS record with a larger number of responses. This is fixed in 15.2.1, 14.15.1, and 12.19.1. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8265 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Nodejs and 2 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Node.js and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
| Node.js versions before 10.23.1, 12.20.1, 14.15.4, 15.5.1 are vulnerable to a use-after-free bug in its TLS implementation. When writing to a TLS enabled socket, node::StreamBase::Write calls node::TLSWrap::DoWrite with a freshly allocated WriteWrap object as first argument. If the DoWrite method does not return an error, this object is passed back to the caller as part of a StreamWriteResult structure. This may be exploited to corrupt memory leading to a Denial of Service or potentially other exploits. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8252 | 3 Fedoraproject, Nodejs, Opensuse | 3 Fedora, Node.js, Leap | 2023-11-07 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
| The implementation of realpath in libuv < 10.22.1, < 12.18.4, and < 14.9.0 used within Node.js incorrectly determined the buffer size which can result in a buffer overflow if the resolved path is longer than 256 bytes. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8251 | 2 Fedoraproject, Nodejs | 2 Fedora, Node.js | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| Node.js < 14.11.0 is vulnerable to HTTP denial of service (DoS) attacks based on delayed requests submission which can make the server unable to accept new connections. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8223 | 2 Fedoraproject, Nextcloud | 2 Fedora, Nextcloud Server | 2023-11-07 | 3.5 LOW | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| A logic error in Nextcloud Server 19.0.0 caused a privilege escalation allowing malicious users to reshare with higher permissions than they got assigned themselves. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8201 | 3 Fedoraproject, Nodejs, Opensuse | 3 Fedora, Node.js, Leap | 2023-11-07 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 7.4 HIGH |
| Node.js < 12.18.4 and < 14.11 can be exploited to perform HTTP desync attacks and deliver malicious payloads to unsuspecting users. The payloads can be crafted by an attacker to hijack user sessions, poison cookies, perform clickjacking, and a multitude of other attacks depending on the architecture of the underlying system. The attack was possible due to a bug in processing of carrier-return symbols in the HTTP header names. | |||||
| CVE-2020-8185 | 2 Fedoraproject, Rubyonrails | 2 Fedora, Rails | 2023-11-07 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
