| CVE | Vendors | Products | Updated | CVSS v2 | CVSS v3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CVE-2020-1753 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible Engine and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| A security flaw was found in Ansible Engine, all Ansible 2.7.x versions prior to 2.7.17, all Ansible 2.8.x versions prior to 2.8.11 and all Ansible 2.9.x versions prior to 2.9.7, when managing kubernetes using the k8s module. Sensitive parameters such as passwords and tokens are passed to kubectl from the command line, not using an environment variable or an input configuration file. This will disclose passwords and tokens from process list and no_log directive from debug module would not have any effect making these secrets being disclosed on stdout and log files. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1752 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 1 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Glibc and 6 more | 2023-11-07 | 3.7 LOW | 7.0 HIGH |
| A use-after-free vulnerability introduced in glibc upstream version 2.14 was found in the way the tilde expansion was carried out. Directory paths containing an initial tilde followed by a valid username were affected by this issue. A local attacker could exploit this flaw by creating a specially crafted path that, when processed by the glob function, would potentially lead to arbitrary code execution. This was fixed in version 2.32. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1746 | 2 Debian, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Ansible Engine, Ansible Tower | 2023-11-07 | 1.9 LOW | 5.0 MEDIUM |

The issue discloses the LDAP bind password to stdout or a log file if a playbook task is written using the bind_pw in the parameters field. The highest threat from this vulnerability is data confidentiality. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1740 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 1.9 LOW | 4.7 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was found in Ansible Engine when using Ansible Vault for editing encrypted files. When a user executes "ansible-vault edit", another user on the same computer can read the old and new secret, as it is created in a temporary file with mkstemp and the returned file descriptor is closed and the method write_data is called to write the existing secret in the file. This method will delete the file before recreating it insecurely. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1739 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 3.3 LOW | 3.9 LOW |
| A flaw was found in Ansible 2.7.16 and prior, 2.8.8 and prior, and 2.9.5 and prior when a password is set with the argument "password" of svn module, it is used on svn command line, disclosing to other users within the same node. An attacker could take advantage by reading the cmdline file from that particular PID on the procfs. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1735 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 3.6 LOW | 4.6 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was found in the Ansible Engine when the fetch module is used. An attacker could intercept the module, inject a new path, and then choose a new destination path on the controller node. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1733 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 3.7 LOW | 5.0 MEDIUM |
| A race condition flaw was found in Ansible Engine 2.7.17 and prior, 2.8.9 and prior, 2.9.6 and prior when running a playbook with an unprivileged become user. When Ansible needs to run a module with become user, the temporary directory is created in /var/tmp. This directory is created with "umask 77 && mkdir -p <dir>"; this operation does not fail if the directory already exists and is owned by another user. An attacker could take advantage to gain control of the become user as the target directory can be retrieved by iterating '/proc/<pid>/cmdline'. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1712 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Systemd Project | 7 Debian Linux, Ceph Storage, Discovery and 4 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
| A heap use-after-free vulnerability was found in systemd before version v245-rc1, where asynchronous Polkit queries are performed while handling dbus messages. A local unprivileged attacker can abuse this flaw to crash systemd services or potentially execute code and elevate their privileges, by sending specially crafted dbus messages. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1711 | 4 Debian, Opensuse, Qemu and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Leap, Qemu and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.0 MEDIUM | 6.0 MEDIUM |
| An out-of-bounds heap buffer access flaw was found in the way the iSCSI Block driver in QEMU versions 2.12.0 before 4.2.1 handled a response coming from an iSCSI server while checking the status of a Logical Address Block (LBA) in an iscsi_co_block_status() routine. A remote user could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process, resulting in a denial of service or potential execution of arbitrary code with privileges of the QEMU process on the host. | |||||
| CVE-2020-19609 | 2 Artifex, Debian | 2 Mupdf, Debian Linux | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| Artifex MuPDF before 1.18.0 has a heap based buffer over-write in tiff_expand_colormap() function when parsing TIFF files allowing attackers to cause a denial of service. | |||||
| CVE-2020-18442 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Zziplib Project | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Zziplib | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 3.3 LOW |
| Infinite Loop in zziplib v0.13.69 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via the return value "zzip_file_read" in the function "unzzip_cat_file". | |||||
| CVE-2020-18032 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Graphviz | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Graphviz | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
