CVE-2018-16884 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 2 more 2023-08-11 6.7 MEDIUM 8.0 HIGH
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NFS41+ subsystem. NFS41+ shares mounted in different network namespaces at the same time can make bc_svc_process() use wrong back-channel IDs and cause a use-after-free vulnerability. Thus a malicious container user can cause a host kernel memory corruption and a system panic. Due to the nature of the flaw, privilege escalation cannot be fully ruled out.
CVE-2023-0179 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 14 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 11 more 2023-08-11 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Netfilter subsystem in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow the leakage of both stack and heap addresses, and potentially allow Local Privilege Escalation to the root user via arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2012-2137 2 Canonical, Linux 2 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel 2023-08-11 6.9 MEDIUM N/A
Buffer overflow in virt/kvm/irq_comm.c in the KVM subsystem in the Linux kernel before 3.2.24 allows local users to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors related to Message Signaled Interrupts (MSI), irq routing entries, and an incorrect check by the setup_routing_entry function before invoking the kvm_set_irq function.
CVE-2013-1828 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2023-08-11 6.9 MEDIUM N/A
The sctp_getsockopt_assoc_stats function in net/sctp/socket.c in the Linux kernel before 3.8.4 does not validate a size value before proceeding to a copy_from_user operation, which allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application that contains an SCTP_GET_ASSOC_STATS getsockopt system call.
CVE-2013-4343 2 Canonical, Linux 2 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel 2023-08-11 6.9 MEDIUM N/A
Use-after-free vulnerability in drivers/net/tun.c in the Linux kernel through 3.11.1 allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging the CAP_NET_ADMIN capability and providing an invalid tuntap interface name in a TUNSETIFF ioctl call.
CVE-2023-20810 3 Google, Linux, Mediatek 54 Android, Linux Kernel, Mt5221 and 51 more 2023-08-09 N/A 4.4 MEDIUM
In IOMMU, there is a possible information disclosure due to improper input validation. This could lead to local information disclosure with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: DTV03692061; Issue ID: DTV03692061.
CVE-2023-20811 3 Google, Linux, Mediatek 54 Android, Linux Kernel, Mt5221 and 51 more 2023-08-09 N/A 6.7 MEDIUM
In IOMMU, there is a possible out of bounds write due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: DTV03692061; Issue ID: DTV03692061.
CVE-2022-31661 3 Linux, Microsoft, Vmware 6 Linux Kernel, Windows, Access Connector and 3 more 2023-08-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
VMware Workspace ONE Access, Identity Manager and vRealize Automation contain two privilege escalation vulnerabilities. A malicious actor with local access can escalate privileges to 'root'.
CVE-2022-22310 6 Apple, Hp, Ibm and 3 more 9 Macos, Hp-ux, Aix and 6 more 2023-08-08 6.4 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty 21.0.0.10 through 21.0.0.12 could provide weaker than expected security. A remote attacker could exploit this weakness to obtain sensitive information and gain unauthorized access to JAX-WS applications. IBM X-Force ID: 217224.
CVE-2022-32296 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2023-08-08 2.1 LOW 3.3 LOW
The Linux kernel before 5.17.9 allows TCP servers to identify clients by observing what source ports are used. This occurs because of use of Algorithm 4 ("Double-Hash Port Selection Algorithm") of RFC 6056.
CVE-2022-22411 2 Ibm, Linux 2 Spectrum Scale Data Access Services, Linux Kernel 2023-08-08 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
IBM Spectrum Scale Data Access Services (DAS) 5.1.3.1 could allow an authenticated user to insert code which could allow the attacker to manipulate cluster resources due to excessive permissions. IBM X-Force ID: 223016.
CVE-2022-22485 3 Ibm, Linux, Microsoft 4 Aix, Spectrum Protect Operations Center, Linux Kernel and 1 more 2023-08-08 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In some cases, an unsuccessful attempt to log into IBM Spectrum Protect Operations Center 8.1.0.000 through 8.1.14.000 does not cause the administrator's invalid sign-on count to be incremented on the IBM Spectrum Protect Server. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability using brute force techniques to gain unauthorized administrative access to the IBM Spectrum Protect Server. IBM X-Force ID: 226325.
CVE-2022-36536 2 Linux, Syncovery 2 Linux Kernel, Syncovery 2023-08-08 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
An issue in the component post_applogin.php of Super Flexible Software GmbH & Co. KG Syncovery 9 for Linux v9.47x and below allows attackers to escalate privileges via creating crafted session tokens.
CVE-2022-31664 3 Linux, Microsoft, Vmware 6 Linux Kernel, Windows, Access Connector and 3 more 2023-08-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
VMware Workspace ONE Access, Identity Manager and vRealize Automation contain a privilege escalation vulnerability. A malicious actor with local access can escalate privileges to 'root'.

CVE-2021-28715 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2023-08-08 2.1 LOW 6.5 MEDIUM
Guest can force Linux netback driver to hog large amounts of kernel memory T[his CNA information record relates to multiple CVEs; the text explains which aspects/vulnerabilities correspond to which CVE.] Incoming data packets for a guest in the Linux kernel's netback driver are buffered until the guest is ready to process them. There are some measures taken for avoiding to pile up too much data, but those can be bypassed by the guest: There is a timeout how long the client side of an interface can stop consuming new packets before it is assumed to have stalled, but this timeout is rather long (60 seconds by default). Using a UDP connection on a fast interface can easily accumulate gigabytes of data in that time. (CVE-2021-28715) The timeout could even never trigger if the guest manages to have only one free slot in its RX queue ring page and the next package would require more than one free slot, which may be the case when using GSO, XDP, or software hashing. (CVE-2021-28714)
CVE-2022-2778 3 Linux, Microsoft, Octopus 3 Linux Kernel, Windows, Octopus Server 2023-08-08 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
