CVE-2019-7441 1 Woocommerce 1 Paypal Checkout Payment Gateway 2024-05-17 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_cart in the WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway plugin 1.6.8 for WordPress allows Parameter Tampering in an amount parameter (such as amount_1), as demonstrated by purchasing an item for lower than the intended price. NOTE: The plugin author states it is true that the amount can be manipulated in the PayPal payment flow. However, the amount is validated against the WooCommerce order total before completing the order, and if it doesn’t match then the order will be left in an “On Hold” state
CVE-2019-25067 2 Podman Project, Varlink 2 Podman, Varlink 2024-05-17 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Podman and Varlink 1.5.1. This affects an unknown part of the component API. The manipulation leads to Remote Privilege Escalation. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier VDB-143949 was assigned to this vulnerability.
CVE-2019-19234 1 Sudo 1 Sudo 2024-05-17 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In Sudo through 1.8.29, the fact that a user has been blocked (e.g., by using the ! character in the shadow file instead of a password hash) is not considered, allowing an attacker (who has access to a Runas ALL sudoer account) to impersonate any blocked user. NOTE: The software maintainer believes that this CVE is not valid. Disabling local password authentication for a user is not the same as disabling all access to that user--the user may still be able to login via other means (ssh key, kerberos, etc). Both the Linux shadow(5) and passwd(1) manuals are clear on this. Indeed it is a valid use case to have local accounts that are _only_ accessible via sudo and that cannot be logged into with a password. Sudo 1.8.30 added an optional setting to check the _shell_ of the target user (not the encrypted password!) against the contents of /etc/shells but that is not the same thing as preventing access to users with an invalid password hash
CVE-2019-19232 1 Sudo 1 Sudo 2024-05-17 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In Sudo through 1.8.29, an attacker with access to a Runas ALL sudoer account can impersonate a nonexistent user by invoking sudo with a numeric uid that is not associated with any user. NOTE: The software maintainer believes that this is not a vulnerability because running a command via sudo as a user not present in the local password database is an intentional feature. Because this behavior surprised some users, sudo 1.8.30 introduced an option to enable/disable this behavior with the default being disabled. However, this does not change the fact that sudo was behaving as intended, and as documented, in earlier versions
CVE-2019-18216 1 Asus 2 Rog Zephyrus M Gm501gs, Rog Zephyrus M Gm501gs Firmware 2024-05-17 7.2 HIGH 6.8 MEDIUM
The BIOS configuration design on ASUS ROG Zephyrus M GM501GS laptops with BIOS 313 relies on the main battery instead of using a CMOS battery, which reduces the value of a protection mechanism in which booting from a USB device is prohibited. Attackers who have physical laptop access can exhaust the main battery to reset the BIOS configuration, and then achieve direct access to the hard drive by booting a live USB OS without disassembling the laptop. NOTE: the vendor has apparently indicated that this is "normal" and use of the same battery for the BIOS and the overall system is a "new design." However, the vendor apparently plans to "improve" this an unspecified later time
CVE-2019-14441 1 Libav 1 Libav 2024-05-17 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in Libav 12.3. An access violation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash), as demonstrated by avconv. This is related to ff_mpa_synth_filter_float in avcodec/mpegaudiodsp_template.c. NOTE: This may be a duplicate of CVE-2018-19129
CVE-2019-12456 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2024-05-17 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in the MPT3COMMAND case in _ctl_ioctl_main in drivers/scsi/mpt3sas/mpt3sas_ctl.c in the Linux kernel through 5.1.5. It allows local users to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact by changing the value of ioc_number between two kernel reads of that value, aka a "double fetch" vulnerability. NOTE: a third party reports that this is unexploitable because the doubly fetched value is not used
CVE-2019-1010155 1 Dlink 2 Dsl-2750u, Dsl-2750u Firmware 2024-05-17 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
D-Link DSL-2750U 1.11 is affected by: Authentication Bypass. The impact is: denial of service and information leakage. The component is: login. NOTE: Third parties dispute this issues as not being a vulnerability because although the wizard is accessible without authentication, it can't actually configure anything. Thus, there is no denial of service or information leakage
CVE-2018-25089 1 Glb 1 Meetup Tag 2024-05-17 2.7 LOW 5.3 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in glb Meetup Tag Extension 0.1 on MediaWiki. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Link Attribute Handler. The manipulation leads to use of web link to untrusted target with window.opener access. Upgrading to version 0.2 is able to address this issue. The identifier of the patch is 850c726d6bbfe0bf270801fbb92a30babea4155c. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. The identifier VDB-238157 was assigned to this vulnerability.
CVE-2018-19358 1 Gnome 1 Gnome-keyring 2024-05-17 2.1 LOW 7.8 HIGH
GNOME Keyring through 3.28.2 allows local users to retrieve login credentials via a Secret Service API call and the D-Bus interface if the keyring is unlocked, a similar issue to CVE-2008-7320. One perspective is that this occurs because available D-Bus protection mechanisms (involving the busconfig and policy XML elements) are not used. NOTE: the vendor disputes this because, according to the security model, untrusted applications must not be allowed to access the user's session bus socket.
CVE-2018-18748 1 Sandboxie 1 Sandboxie 2024-05-17 10.0 HIGH 10.0 CRITICAL
Sandboxie 5.26 allows a Sandbox Escape via an "import os" statement, followed by os.system("cmd") or os.system("powershell"), within a .py file. NOTE: the vendor disputes this issue because the observed behavior is consistent with the product's intended functionality
CVE-2018-18603 1 360totalsecurity 1 360 Total Security 2024-05-17 4.3 MEDIUM 6.3 MEDIUM
360 Total Security 3.5.0.1033 allows a Sandbox Escape via an "import os" statement, followed by os.system("CMD") or os.system("PowerShell"), within a .py file. NOTE: the vendor's position is that this cannot be categorized as a vulnerability, although it is a security-related issue
CVE-2018-18320 1 Asuswrt-merlin Project 28 Rt-ac1900, Rt-ac1900 Firmware, Rt-ac2900 and 25 more 2024-05-17 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
An issue was discovered in the Merlin.PHP component 0.6.6 for Asuswrt-Merlin devices. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands because exec.php has a popen call. NOTE: the vendor indicates that Merlin.PHP is designed only for use on a trusted intranet network, and intentionally allows remote code execution
CVE-2018-17538 1 Axon 1 Evidence Sync 2024-05-17 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
Axon (formerly TASER International) Evidence Sync 3.15.89 is vulnerable to process injection. NOTE: the vendor's position is that this CVE is not associated with information that supports any finding of any type of vulnerability
CVE-2018-17403 1 Phonepe 1 Phonepe 2024-05-17 4.3 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
The PhonePe wallet (aka com.PhonePe.app) application 3.0.6 through 3.3.26 for Android might allow attackers to impersonate a user and set up their account without their knowledge. NOTE: the vendor says that, to exploit this, the user has to explicitly install a malicious app and provide accessibility permission to the malicious app, that the Android platform provides fair warnings to the users before turning on accessibility for any application, and that it believes it is similar to installing malicious keyboards, or malicious apps taking screenshots
CVE-2018-17400 1 Phonepe 1 Phonepe 2024-05-17 1.2 LOW 7.0 HIGH
The PhonePe wallet (aka com.PhonePe.app) application 3.0.6 through 3.3.26 for Android might allow attackers to perform Account Takeover attacks by intercepting the user name and PIN during the initial configuration of the application.
CVE-2018-10021 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2024-05-17 4.9 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
drivers/scsi/libsas/sas_scsi_host.c in the Linux kernel before 4.16 allows local users to cause a denial of service (ata qc leak) by triggering certain failure conditions. NOTE: a third party disputes the relevance of this report because the failure can only occur for physically proximate attackers who unplug SAS Host Bus Adapter cables
CVE-2018-1000204 3 Canonical, Debian, Linux 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2024-05-17 6.3 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
Linux Kernel version 3.18 to 4.16 incorrectly handles an SG_IO ioctl on /dev/sg0 with dxfer_direction=SG_DXFER_FROM_DEV and an empty 6-byte cmdp. This may lead to copying up to 1000 kernel heap pages to the userspace. This has been fixed upstream in https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/a45b599ad808c3c982fdcdc12b0b8611c2f92824 already. The problem has limited scope, as users don't usually have permissions to access SCSI devices. On the other hand, e.g. the Nero user manual suggests doing `chmod o+r+w /dev/sg*` to make the devices accessible. NOTE: third parties dispute the relevance of this report, noting that the requirement for an attacker to have both the CAP_SYS_ADMIN and CAP_SYS_RAWIO capabilities makes it "virtually impossible to exploit.
CVE-2017-9864 1 Sma 78 Sunny Boy 1.5, Sunny Boy 1.5 Firmware, Sunny Boy 2.5 and 75 more 2024-05-17 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in SMA Solar Technology products. An attacker can change the plant time even when not authenticated in any way. This changes the system time, possibly affecting lockout policies and random-number generators based on timestamps, and makes timestamps for data analysis unreliable. NOTE: the vendor reports that this is largely irrelevant because it only affects log-entry timestamps, and because the plant time would later be reset via NTP. (It has never been the case that a lockout policy or random-number generator was affected.) Also, only Sunny Boy TLST-21 and TL-21 and Sunny Tripower TL-10 and TL-30 could potentially be affected
CVE-2017-20179 1 Instedd 1 Pollit 2024-05-17 6.5 MEDIUM 9.8 CRITICAL
A vulnerability was found in InSTEDD Pollit 2.3.1. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function TourController of the file app/controllers/tour_controller.rb. The manipulation leads to an unknown weakness. The attack may be initiated remotely. Upgrading to version 2.3.2 is able to address this issue. The patch is named 6ef04f8b5972d5f16f8b86f8b53f62fac68d5498. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. The associated identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-221507.
